Safety Through Solidarity: A Radical Guide to Fighting Antisemitism

Safety Through Solidarity: A Radical Guide to Fighting Antisemitism

In the midst of hearings about an alleged crisis of campus antisemitism we are seeing actual threats on synagogues and right-wing politicians building up their support by appealing to "white genocide" conspiracy theories. Antisemitism is the most discussed issue in the country at the moment, yet there is little common understanding about what this term means. Weaponized claims of antisemitism are leveled at Palestine solidarity activists and real antisemitism increasingly becomes a part of the far-right's playbook for building up their populist energy. As these incidents steamroll we are getting further away from a clear and consensus picture of what antisemitism is, or how to fight it.

These were the forces that my co-author, Ben Lorber, and I hoped to confront in our upcoming book from Melville House Publishing, Safety Through Solidarity: A Radical Guide to Fighting Antisemitism. After three years of work we now have a release date set for June 4th, 2023 and want to share information about how to support this work and what is coming next.

Right now you can pre-order the book at the link below and will be discussing it across social media. Posting about the book and pre-ordering it are great ways to ensure the book reaches an audience, particularly since we have a lot of misinformation and conflicting reports on antisemitism to cut through.

You can also do things like mark it on Goodreads or Amazon to help show support and allow new readers to find it.

Go ahead and read more recent articles by both Ben Lorber and myself on this subject to get a sense of what kind of issues we will delve into in the book.
